If you have ever been bitten even mildly by the design bug and have a pulse, you likely will have heard about a little sale called the Christie Classic Antique Show. The Christie show, held twice a year in Dundas, Ontario, is the largest of its kind featuring over 300 vendors from across Canada. No matter what item is on your must-have list - up to and including the kitchen sink! - there is a good chance you'll find it there.
Though the Christie show takes place twice per year in May and September, the spring show is my favourite. I don't know if it's the pleasure of basking in the fresh weather after a long winter coupled with great auction finds that makes it so appealing, or maybe it's that so many folks refrain from antiquing over the winter months that vendors have replenished their stock and great finds are plentiful. Whatever the reason, the spring show feels to me a bit like the Cannes of antique fairs and I, for one, can't wait to get there again this year!
Date: Saturday, May 28 (24 more days!)
Time: 8am - 5pm (and get there early - parking is not limited, per se, but you know ...)
